HOT DAMN I'm so sad I've never ordered from here before! Chilaquiles Plate was KILLER especially with steak added on the side which was admittedly a little expensive but that's just business these days. GUACAMOLE also delicious, CHIPSperfectly crispy, salsa perfect amount to spicy. Compliments to the chef(s)!
Jason Burrito is simply outstanding.. nothing else hits like it on a late Sunday morning watching sports.. hearty and worth every penny! Literally perfection - juicy asada with the chilaquiles sauce, and the cheese, and the egg, amazing! And then with the combination of the red salsa with a touch of the green.. bruhhh
I rarely switch between items at most restaurants out of fear that i'll hate something, but this is one of the few spots that I have confidence ordering anything. Try the breakfast plates, burritos and definitely the dirty horchata. It's more expensive than other Mexican spots, but worth it in taste and health!
The Señor G's Story
Founded in 1980 by Hector Galindo, Señor G's has been a Playa del Rey institution for over four decades. In 1987, Benjamin Sr. and Rosa Arreola took the reins — and this tight-knit family has been running their little counter-order café with heart ever since.
The menu bridges traditional Mexican comfort food with clean, health-forward cooking: massive breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros, grilled skirt steak and chicken, grilled cactus, and house-made salsas bursting with flavor. Our fruit and juice bar serves up fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies — the perfect companion to any meal.
Sitting just over a mile from Loyola Marymount University, Señor G's is a beloved pitstop for surfers rolling in from the beach, LMU students fueling up between classes, travelers passing through, and neighborhood regulars who've been coming for years. Come as you are. Leave full and happy.
